Epiphany

The 12th Day of Christmas~ Epiphany, the Feast of the Magi, the 3 Kings Day! Great day for Manifesting! So get your Intentions together and really Intend today! Epiphany alive in the soul has three distinct impactson us. It asks us to 1) name our 3 gifts, 2) be aware of our destiny and 3) take the first step of manifestion.
This Holy Day, celebrated on Jan. 6, commemorates two key biblical events: the visit of the wise men, Magi, to the baby Jesus, and later, the baptism of Jesus by John The Baptist in the Jordan River. The Greek word "epiphaneia" means "divine appearance" or "manifestation." The wise men's visit means Christ has appeared to the Gentiles (non-Jews) and His baptism means His adult ministry has begun. These "twelve days of Christmas" refer to the span of time from Christmas to Epiphany.

Between Celebrations

This week, between celebrations, we all gear down, rest, relax, reflect and recharge. Starting to think about resolutions for the new, incoming year, as well as renumeration of successes in this outgoing year. What have we accomplished in 12 months? What is it we really want to do next? These are the 12 Days of Christmas of old, and our modern between holiday period.

Merry 12 Days of Christmas- This is the 1st Day!

On the 1st Day of Christmas, My True Love Gave to Me...
From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember. -The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ. -Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.-Three French hens stood for faith, hope, and love. -The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John. -The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament. -The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation. -Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit--Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy. -The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes. -Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit--Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control. -The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments. -The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples. -The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed. So there is your history for today. This knowledge was shared with me and I found it interesting and enlightening, and now I know how that strange song became a Christmas Carol... Merry 12 Days of Christmas!

I can only advise myself, but maybe others can learn from things that happen to me~ I am better and better every year, because I start fresh every year, starting with the Winter Solstice, then My Birthday, then Christmas, then the New Year! Bring it on!

Epiphany

Today is Epiphany, the last day of the 12 Days of Christmas, the day when the 3 Wise Men gave gifts of Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh to Jesus, the Day of Divine Manifestation! Make your intentions for manifestation today! Watch what happens this year! You will not be the same person that you are today on this day next year~ you will be Divinely Manifested into an even better you! Your deepest desires will be YOURS! I know because I made my intentions on this same day last year, and I am utterly amazed at what has manifested~ beyond my wildest dreams! Each year is different, each year is better & better! Make this YOUR Epiphany, as I have made it mine & you will see what I see, and manifest your divine manifestations~ 2008 is Great!

12 Days of Christmas

In the "days of old" we celebrated the 12 days of Christmas~ in modern times, this has been all but forgotten, except for the song! Well, let me tell you, if you haven't already heard, the 12 days of Christmas are alive & well, and celebrated by communities all over the world! From Christmas Day, Dec 25 to Epiphany Day, Jan 6, we can feel the difference in our lives, and in our elevated hearts and minds! We feel the Love, Gratitude & Compassion entering our spirit! These days are special and sacred, not to be wasted by after Christmas sales, back to work, or other superficial activities. These are days (and nights) to be savored and remembered, especially pay attention to your dreams during this time~ they may come true in the upcoming year! These are days to be spending your time doing what you love, not spending your money on the sales, and meditating/intentioning on what you desire~ spiritually, as well as materially, not thinking about how these will materialize. Please slow down and enjoy this special time~ you will not regret it! Happy 12 Days! Happy Holidays! Check out: innerchristmas.com
