Solstice

Solstice is here! In with a bang this morning, it really heated up the first day of summer! Drumming and ceremony, awe inspiring at Sonehenge, just like thousands of other Solstices in the past. Each year is different, however- this year nearly no media coverage, or maybe I just didn't hear it with the drumming and all...

Red Nativity Concert

Last night was the Red Nativity Concert by Brule & AIRO (American Indian Rock Opera). My daughter and I went together and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! They played at the Pikes Peak Center, which is also the same place I saw them last! I am totally in love with Moses, the drummer, and have been ever since the first time I laid eyes on him! My daughter likes Shane pretty well- he is the guitarist. I love drumming myself, but you should see the way Moses drums...WOW! Check out: brulerecords.com, especially: brulerecords.com/moses_gallery.html
It also was a great opportunity to tell my daughter a true story, that I don't think she ever heard before. That is the story of my first Native American Love, Leonard when I was just 15. I have always remembered him, and I keep the Medicine Bag that he gave me close to me all the time. Even when lightening struck my house and burned the top story, that Medicine Bag went with me to a temporary apartment, and then back home after my house was rebuilt. I have never known the whereabouts of Leonard since my teenage years, however, I am sure he is remembering me, as I remember him~ With Love, the best medicine of all!

Intending with Drumming

Today was fantastic! I watched a movie on DVD with my daughter that made us both cry~ Georgia Rules. Then I went out to the woods to Sue Miller's house for Intenders, Jasper Koenig (Jasper Drums) brought 13 drums that he made to have a drumming circle after Intenders Circle. Was it awesome! I really miss drumming, I used to play Native American Drums, and have healing drum circles~ tonight, these were African drums, handmade by Jasper! He even named each one! I thought I was the only one who did that... of course, I only have one to name. The energy tonight was great, the company was perfect, the setting was ideal! The vibrations from the drums actually raise your body's vibration & elevate your spirit, as well! The healing energy was so much the same as Native American drumming, & we all felt it on a higher dimension! Everyone left happy & energized! That's what it's all about!!! Check out: JasperDrums.com
