First Snow

It is here! It has arrived! The first snow of the season! Our Colorado snow is dry, blowing, cold snow- not the delicate flowers and patterns of snowflakes of which we made cutouts in school. This blowing snowing weather makes you want to stay in bed, not get up and drive on the icy roads to go anywhere. Turn up the heat and get a cup of tea! Old Man Winter comes calling at the door again.

Olympic Gold

Lots of Olympic Gold! From swimming to wrestling, to gymnastics to volleyball, our USA does it again- and with new world records, to boot! The weather in China doesn't seem to bother anyone, after all the complaints about smog. We Americans are always up to a challenge, we always take it on! And we always win! Winning is natural to us, it is second nature. Keep it up!

A Winter Day

This is just a winter day in Colorado today. At least, no blizzard, or freezing cold! Winter is usually nice, but after last year, which was the worst on record, most of us are requesting mild days and even milder temperatures. It seems we are not into winter anymore- it's just too much to shovel 3 times a day, every day. So, thank God, this is just a winter day. It is still early in the winter, however, so it could get worse, but I will NOT entertain the thought. I will appreciate what I do have, which is, by the way, what I intended...

Solstice

Winter Solstice has arrived! This is an exciting time because, from now until late summer, the days will be getting longer, allowing more and more light into our world~ exactly what Lightworkers LOVE! The Light of the World, Jesus Christ is born~ exactly what Christians LOVE! Planetary Alignments are happening and lighting up the universe~ exactly what Astronomers LOVE! One of those wise men is AJ McGettigan, a Shamanic Astronomer. He states on his website: An interesting intersection between modern and ancient spiritual teachings reveal a perspective of the universe, that in the entirety of the cosmos there is only one consciousness~ only one heart. A noted authority on this perspective, Joseph Chilton Pearce, points out that the energetic field of the human heart is holographic. According to Chilton-Pearce, the energetic field of the human heart is qualitatively similar to the energetic field surrounding the Earth, also that of the Sun, and identical to the field existing in the synapses of our brains. From this perspective, all knowing is one knowing.
As we behold Pluto aligning with the heart of our galaxy, our relationship to this great cosmic presence is renewed and regenerated. Our hearts together with the fields of our planet and solar system are in resonance with the great heart of our galaxy. With our Sun standing still, our energy and our attention are drawn to the place where we are by nature connected with every other conscious being and with life of the heavens.
This sacred moment provides us a profound initiation. This celestial event marks the place where we begin to know ourselves not only as human, but also as planetary, solar, and galactic beings.
Additionally, with Jupiter's participation in this alignment, there is also a strong potential for the renewal of intent and expansion toward our fullest potentials. This event signals a moment of great opportunities for aligning our attention and aspirations with the abundant energy ever available from the heart of heaven. The Sun's exact conjunction with Jupiter happens on December 22, at 9:56 p.m., Pacific time.
Shamanic Astronomer AJ McGettigan writes some info about this weekend's celestial alignment... Winter Solstice has arrived with an awesome once-in-a-lifetime alignment. This year the Sun has arrived at it's southern solstice at the same time as Pluto is aligned with the Galactic Center and Jupiter. This event is rare because Jupiter only visits this part of the sky once in every 12 years. However, Pluto only appears in this area for a brief period every 250 years. The importance of this event is great—perhaps the most significant celestial alignment of our new century. Check out his website: ncrising.com
