Full Moon, Harvest Moon

This full moon is the Harvest Moon- it casts enough light for farmers to do their work late into the night. Above, Lady Liberty also works by the light of the full moon! This picture is celebrating two Goddesses- Liberty and Luna! The full moon closest to the Autumn Equinox is called the Harvest Moon, because all harvesting is usually done by the equinox, getting the earth ready for resting in fall and winter. This harvest moon is very close and bright! It was really bright for my night drive to Denver- showing me the way! This time of year is perfect for moon-watching. We watch the moon, as well as the moon watching over us...
